Maybe I'm just feeling cranky but...

Can we finally retire "Who had (blank) on their 2020 bingo card"?

It's become this year's "Asking for a friend."

Oh, and can we also retire "Asking for a friend"?
Thanks to several of you for reminding me I get equally enraged by "That's it. That's the tweet." And I'm not crying, you're crying."

I guess kudos are due to whoever first invited these twitter tropes. And whoever the millionth use was.
And yes, "let that sink in" is no longer sinking in.
And if I'm finally venting, what's with that Gif of Denzel Washington clutching his heart that someone posts every time a name is trending and you are relieved to discover that person hasn't died. I think that might be the greatest cliche of all. Asking for a friend.
I also hate "This wins the internet." Usually a tweet that someone is sharing on Facebook.
I'll even add "I like presidents who (blank). And I personally have used that one at least 30 times.
Yes, "Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk" is approaching that level of ubiquity/ overuse. But still kinda makes me laugh.
Another good example you guys posted: "I was today years old when I learned this."

Thought it was a very clever turn of phrase the first time I saw it. Now it's crossed into cliche. Which doesn't make the original any less clever.
Was there a "2019 bingo card"? Because I never heard the phrase until a few months ago. Now it's like every fourth tweet on my timeline.
