This may seem merely lame or even innocuous, but it is actually a really dangerous development that will only worsen. One set of rules for one "racial" group (and how are those groups even measured) and another set of rules for another "racial" group. This never ends well.
How does this work? Who is a “person of color”? Is a mostly conquistador-descended Latino a POC? Is a person of Korean descent POC? Is POC synonymous with black? Would I count? Would my blond-haired, quarter west-African-descended kids count? How are they enforcing any of this? Image
I’m not merely being flippant. I mean this for real: how do you measure people to enforce separate treatment rules based on “race”?
