2, We announced the first 3 Demos- July 20 at the Scottish parliament, Aug 19 at Bannockburn field and Sept 17 at George Square- each one symbolic in its own way. To ensure the safety of participants & the public we have to carefully limit the numbers of those who can take part..

6, The July 20 Demo at the Scottish parliament will have 129 participants- symbolically representative of the MSP's in the parliament; of Our Right To Decide- that the decision & authority on Scotland's future rests with the Scottish people and not the Westminster regime..
7, The Aug 19 at Bannockburn & Sept 17 at George Square will have a different no. of participants each due to each location having its own safe capacity, details on no's forthcoming & on themes for each. For a movement to be a movement it must move, so this is what we are doing..
8, Safety is paramount. We will utilise perimiter/interior barriers at the space we occupy- led by our Chief Steward team. Face coverings are mandatory, hand sanitizers will be provided, social distancing observed. A one way entry/exit system will be employed to reduce risk..
9, Demonstrating is absolutely vital. We must push forwards if we are to win. Participants will be encouraged to bring flags & banners, make placards etc. There will be speeches and music, as well as some participants getting up to the platform- as this is a people's movement..
10, The Demos will be a great success and show how determined, how well organised and disciplined, how well behaved and dedicated the Independence movement is- that no matter what is thrown at us we will not desist but will adapt to the changing of circumstances as they arise..

12, Nonetheless by the high levels of interest in the form of registrations we've received it is crucial that those who wish to participate can- so AUOB is facilitating a safe way of this happening- enabling the Independence campaign to adapt out of Lockdown..
13, These Demo dates are also National Day's of Action- from Yes groups getting out in their locality, to individuals taking to bridges or exercising with flags- even hanging a Saltire from a window. Everyone can take part- we can have a safe mass gathering until times change.
