This scandal has the makings of a criminal quid pro quo with the Attorney General in the know. It wasn’t just discussed, either. Toensing and diGenova got paid (and so did Parnas with a loan from Firtash) and there’s been crickets on Firtash’s extradition.
At the exact same time this is happening, Toensing’s son quietly slid into a senior position at DOJ under Barr. His mom’s law firm (where he was a senior lawyer) got the money from Firtash.
I know we’re like a decade removed from the Ukraine scandal but god damn this cannot get buried.
House Democrats should subpoena Brady Toensing to testify with Barr. There’s no doubt that SDNY is investigating this as part of their Giuliani probe. Barr is trying to save his own ass.
Follow. The. Money. Toensing and diGenova’s entire efforts were (are?) bankrolled by the Russian mafia. In this context, every interaction with Barr is important.
