room pushed back against anything the mayor said. The only person who was very clear and concise was Marcus who was laser focused on Human Services for homeless. Otherwise meeting was more about grievances about SPD AND SFD by protesters than demands.
Protester group present never asked detailed questions about how Sunday would go. Never asked Mayor any detailed logistical questions nor did they request time to meet with their council and get back to her. It could very well be because of the fact the Mayor dismisses most of
Demands as outdated or out of jurisdiction or in progress. Protesters did not counter when Mayor said that. Soon after Mayor said City was coming on Sunday again no push back from proteters present in meeting.
To be honest the group of protesters were obviously not prepared with the proper demands or political posture for such a high stakes discussion. Why they decided to take the meeting unprepared is best known to them.
Two of the protesters that were present at the meeting, Mark Anthony and Malcolm a few nights back on my live stream encouraged all proteters to leave Cal Anderson and move to the Space Needle. A different group that night encouraged people to move to the East Precinct.
