We need a new philosophy of justice. We should have a system where the society's primary task is to prove a crime was committed and that restitution is required, not that somebody was guilty.

As long as we focus on individual guilt, rich criminals will get away with crime.
That way, if millions are stolen from your ministry, you can't defend yourself by saying "if it was me, show me the evidence." This other approach would force you to explain where you were when the money was stolen since the ministry was yours and you were in charge.
This is not a question of guilt or innocence. It's a question of responsibility. If you were in charge of something and it disappeared, you have to explain how you didn't know, and what you did to remedy it.

The focus is on society, not individual morality.
But throwing your hands up in the air and saying "prove it," when you know you control the person who controls the police, is just dishonest.

You are asking us to prove it precisely because you know that you control the evidence which we need to do so.
The traditional African society started from "this is an injustice and the gods must be appeased." The who and how is then worked backwards from there.

But this Anglo-Saxon system obsseses with "whodunit?" So our time is wasted by rich and powerful people saying "it wasn't me."
And "it wasn't me" has literally become pornographic. We see crime happening, the society suffers, but the people perpetrating it spend money on lawyers wearing funny things on their heads and poking holes in arguments, like we need entertainment.

This is obscene.
