Mirwaiz. Masrat Alam, Nayeem Khan and other Separatists had differences with Syed Ali Shah Geelani and that's the reason Pakistan choose Ashraf Sehrai instead of Geelani as New Hurriyat Chairman.

On 18 June 2020 Pakistan Army Chief, ISI Chief, Hizb chief Syed Salahudin and others met in Rawalpindi to decide the faith of Syed Ali Shah Geelani. In the meeting it was held that Geelani is no use of now for Pakistan so, its better to take throne of killings from him. 4/n
Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Family Amassed Wealth Worth Crores Of Rupees, Own Benami Properties. His ancestral bungalow at Dooru, Sopore, in Jammu and Kashmir is worth Rs 1 crore. It is a two story house on 2 kanals of land. 5/n
Syed Ali Shah Geelani's office cum residence is built on 1.5 kanals land at Rehmatabad colony, which is registered in the name of Milli Trust with Five of his family memebers. Geelani's two story house at Bulbulbagh, Barazulla has been transferred to Jel, Jammu and Kahsmir. 6/n
