In a previous thread, I discussed a private investigation into the possibility that a foreign entity had hacked Hillary Clinton’s private server.
Documents from that investigation were turned over to the FBI in June 2016.
The private investigation was conducted by a defense contractor named Donald Berlin.
Finding Information about Berlin and his firm Investigative Consultants Inc (ICI) is not easy.
The only significant source I found are documents related to a lawsuit.
In 2017, it was revealed that Chandler’s Legatum Institute was associated with pro-Brexit British cabinet ministers.
Perhaps not coincidentally, around this same time, a dossier began circulating among British reporters that claimed Chandler and his brother were involved in money laundering, organised crime and Russian espionage.

The dossier, it turns out, contained intelligence that was the result of an investigation conducted 15 years previous by Donald Berlin.
Eringer found the Chandler brothers suspicious because they owned property in Monte Carlo but were seldom seen there.
He suspected they were laundering money for Russian organized crime, so he placed them under surveillance
To run a background check on the Chandlers, Eringer hired another private investigator, Donald Berlin.
Berlin supposedly had “special sources with a proven ability to access the Russian SVR [foreign intelligence]’s registry.”
Berlin’s report was completed in 2004 and never saw the light of day….until Eringer sent portions of the report to British media in late 2017.
Why Eringer released his dossier or at whose behest isn’t clear.
Eringer had a falling out with Prince Albert. Both men have sued each other numerous times (Eringer has been involved in A LOT of lawsuits).
He made some rather wild accusations.

There are other assertions in the lawsuit made about Berlin’s shady past. I verified one of them.

Berlin refused to sign an agreement that his report was fictitious to avoid a lawsuit and so the Chandlers went forward and sued him.
As far as I can tell, the suit is still unresolved.
Now let’s turn to June 5th, 2016, when Donald Berlin took the results of his investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private server to the FBI.
(h/t @walkafyre for great work filling in the redactions)
How Berlin used the remaining $29,500 is not clear. Was Berlin working a scam? It’s certainly possible.
At the same time, his stated reason for turning the results over the FBI was because he thought he may have discovered classified material
One of the great mysteries of Spygate is how serious the FBI took Berlin’s report.
A report that suggests the possibility that the Russians had accessed Hillary’s private server.
realclearinvestigations.com/articles/2019/…
Did the FBI put any weight in the report of someone who, allegedly, just made up intelligence on Russian clandestine activities?
Even if the FBI dismissed Berlin as unreliable, his report is still important because it alerted the FBI that Clinton’s political enemies were searching for her deleted emails. (I think it’s fair to call Tom Fitton one of Hillary’s political enemies lol)
I know a lot of people will say, “everyone was looking for her emails.” Of course, few however documented their investigation with the FBI.
So that’s all I have on Donald Berlin. Believe it or not, there’s someone even more sketchy than him that I hope to thread about in the near future.
So much disinformation out there from grifters, intelligence agencies and “journalists,” discovering the truth is not easy.
A word of advice: be skeptical of someone telling you what you want to hear
Addendum: the Chandlers are far from above suspicion. Read this excellent thread on them and their institute, much better than anything you’ll find in the MSM.
