Part of the reason why politics is broadly incoherent in the West is that people refuse to call things by their proper names. The schism between the left and right can be more accurately characterized as an internal civil war between two camps of bourgeois and capitalists. There
is actually zero representation of working class interests and to be blunt, there never will be. Populism is for all practical purposes is stillborn. The left is comprised of the haute capitalists and haute bourgeoisie interests. Financial and corporate elites combined with the
credentialed Harvard types. The right is composed of petite capitalists and the petite bourgeoisie and represents their intetests. Your Chick-fil-A types of businesses and air conditioning repair owners. Neither faction actually represents the working class and increasingly never
will. The reason is because immigration has changed the composition of the working classes, particularly in the United States. The working class there is functionally majority foreign helots and this change is permanent. Neither right or left is particularly interested in
representing their interests and they won't. The fight now is in reality how to secure government resources so that the marginal members of either camp aren't pushed into the socio-economic camp of helotry rather assisting than improving their actual conditions.
