An enlarged meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea was held at the office building of the WPK Central Committee on Thursday to discuss immediate work and policy issues. Respected Chairman Kim Jong Un was present at the meeting. 
Upon the authorization of the politburo, Chairman Kim Jong Un presided over the meeting and made several important conclusions. The first agenda item reviewed the last 6 months of work for preventing COVID-19 and discussed further enhancements to the state anti-epidemic work.
After analyzing details of the 6 month national emergency work, Comrade Kim Jong Un said that they thoroughly prevented the inroads of the virus and maintained a stable situation despite the worldwide crisis, a shining success achieved by the far-sighted leadership of the Party.
Comrade Kim Jong Un stressed the need to maintain maximum alertness without the slightest relaxation or complacency on the anti-epidemic front, and to practice even stricter efforts, seeing the trends of re-infection persist in many other countries with no way to relieve danger.
Sharp criticisms of anti-epidemic measure violations and inattention getting prevalent among some officials were made by Comrade Kim Jong Un. He warned that hasty relief of anti-epidemic measures will result in an unimaginable and irretrievable crisis in the country.
Comrade Kim Jong Un went on to stress that all sectors and units of the whole country should strengthen anti-epidemic work until the moment that the pandemic's danger is completely gone, and not to become complacent and feel satisfied with a currently good situation.
Reports and speeches on the 6 months of anti-epidemic work were made. They deeply analyzed and reviewed problems revealed in the anti-epidemic work from a critical viewpoint, and took meticulous measures to strictly maintain the state emergency anti-epidemic system.
They discussed the second agenda item, the hastening Pyongyang General Hospital's construction. Comrade Kim Jong Un expressed satisfaction with its steady progress thanks to the extraordinary efforts of the soldier-builders.
Comrade Kim Jong Un made sure that powerful measures were taken for urgently solving problems arising in the completion of the hospital which will provide the working people with an advanced world-class medical service, and he set many tasks for its material supply and operation.
