In case you missed the Trump's Mt. Rushmore speech, here's a summary:

/1 The speech was pure Stephen Miller with a lot of name-dropping pandering to greatest generation thrown in: Elvis, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Las Vegas, Miami. Clearly responding to polls showing loss of support by elderly voters. 
/2 Pandemic...what pandemic? There was no attempt at social distancing of the crowd or orchestra. Masks did not appear to be a thing.
/3 The crowd chanting was pretty tepid. All they could come up with was "USA" and a few "4 More Years". They need to brush up on the classics.
/4 Much of the speech was a history lesson about the men on Mt. Rushmore, given by the man who once said:
"People don’t realize, you know, the Civil War, if you think about it, why? People don’t ask that question, but why was there the Civil War?"

/6 About that history lesson: After the Mt. Rushmore capsule, gems included "manifest destiny across the ocean" and a stream of consciousness riff on the Battle Hymn of the Republic that sounded like the time Krusty decided to be a hip standup and hit the comedy clubs.
/7 The speech wrapped up with Neil Young's "Rockin in the Free World" blaring, successfully pissing off every "southern man" and Neil Young fan in the country. Sources say that Mr. Young ain't too thrilled either.
