Bail reform - 56 individuals were Released were involved in a shooting or murder in some sort of way- Vic, suspect, witness
“We have the knowledge to stop the shootings, but no longer the power to do so.”
NYPD now gives a DAT to all GLA thieves - GLAs are up citywide
Context - My input - GLAs are up 60.8% YTD
Chief “It’s quite obvious that there are a lot of people carrying guns out there.”
I don’t know how journalists and reporters get all of these facts so fast at these things - I missed a lot

1 individual arrested on May 25 for Crim Sale of Controlled Substance - RORd and on June 6 committed a stabbing murder.
Parolee committed 2 DV incidents in May - RORd, April 24 rearrest for DV RORd, shoots and kills someone in June
Individual assaults the same person twice - RORd - only to go and kill him
Chief “No one is going into Rikers, everyone is getting out of Rikers.”
Lots of anecdotal evidence - no names
Chief M: “The earliest to get A Grand Jury will be August 10th.”
Chief M: “4 months of no courts open due to COVID so people are hanging out on their blocks - some by the thousands.”
Chief: “This year 40% of all gun arrests have been RORd compared to 25% last year.”
