There are better ways to solve the various problems being centred by transphobic “gender critical” people (NB: the latter is a rebranding like “alt-right”). Wanna reduce homophobia? Fund the work!
The alternative is literally death.
Suicide rates amongst trans teens are awful.
I grew up in Apartheid South Africa where the government sanctioned the military doing forced sex change operations after failed conversion torture [en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Avers…]
I was ripe for the kind of “pressuring” that JK says she fears.

Stopping progress to push compliance to an outdated and scientifically imprecise definition of gender that you happen to have been told was “the truth” is just weird.
These are real people’s lives being ruined by this hatred & fear-mongering.
