The UK Government has decided to continue arms sales to Saudi Arabia, despite a huge range of groups, including @bellingcat, providing evidence of consistent and continuing breaches of IHL by the Saudi-led Coalition (SLC).

A condition of arms sales to the SLC is that there must not be a clear risk that the export of arms and military equipment to Saudi Arabia might be used in the commission of a serious violation of IHL. 
Despite stating that there appear to have been multiple possible breaches of IHL by the SLC, the UK Govt has decided that these are “isolated incidents” and as such are “not a clear risk” that UK arms might be used in breaches of IHL
The UK Govt has not clarified how this assessment was carried out, nor the methodology, nor the number of possible breaches of IHL it identified.
It only noted "Saudi Arabia has a genuine intent and the capacity to comply with IHL". This is inconsistent with our investigations.

Last year we investigated 21 airstrikes in Yemen by the SLC in depth. We sent relevant examples to the UK Parliament.
This represented a fraction of the huge number of airstrikes carried out by the SLC which were likely breaches of IHL.

This decision by the UK Govt flies in the face of the huge amount of evidence gathered by organisations such as @MwatanaEn, @CAATuk, @YemenData, @GLAN_LAW and ourselves that the SLC has consistently and flagrantly breached IHL in Yemen.
