This Project is situated at Goodh Block of Rewa District in Madhya Pradesh. This project is spread across 1590 acres of land i.e 6.4 sq. kms and one of the largest single site solar plant in Asia.

A joint venture company by the name of Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) was set up by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikash Nigam Limited (MPUVNL) for the successful implementation of the project.

The total cost of the project is expected to be around Rs 4000 crore. In January 2018, the World Bank had approved USD 30 million loan for the internal infrastructure of the project.

There are 3 units under this project which are of 250 MW each, according to reports around 28% of electricity will be purchased by Delhi metro rail services. DMRC will get electricity at a very nominal rate .

This Project started electricity generation in 2018 itself but all units were not operational, In Jan 2020 the project became fully operational and started generating 750 MW .

This project is part of National goal set by our PM @PMOIndia @narendramodi of 100 GW till 2022 when Bharat will celebrate 75 years of Independence from British rule.
