Last month, the Trump administration proposed a regulation which would eviscerate our asylum system (see the attached thread)

Comments opposing the rule are due next Wednesday! So here's a thread collecting easy ways that you can make YOUR voice heard.

If you're fired up to respond, template comments are a great starting point, but they shouldn't be your ending point! We strongly encourage you to personalize your comment. Tell a personal story, or make a new legal arguments. The more unique comments, the better!
Now, on to the templates! Remember, you have until 11:59 PM on Wednesday, July 15, to make your voice heard!

Next, here's @IEquality's template comment, which provides a detailed template for comments focusing on the rule's attacks on LGBTQ/H asylum seekers, including a bar on asylum on the basis of "gender," which could affect trans asylum seekers. immigrationequality.org/get-involved/t…

There's a lot more comment templates out there as well, so I encourage people to respond to this thread with more opportunities for people to make their voices heard!

So far, more than 20,000 people have left a comment on this disastrous rule!
