As an African American founder, I have to be strategic about who our partners are. Today, we received our credits from @GoogleStartups. Receipt could not have come at a better time. GfS has been a game changer and a cornerstone relationship.
Over Q3 & Q4, we'll deploy 34 Optimal Power Systems ("OPS"). OPS combines rooftop solar with energy monitoring to help clients "use energy better and use better energy". Our ecosystem uses ML to monitor & control appliances to maintain low energy bills. Nod to GCP & Firebase.
Our relationship with GfS is meaningful & deep -- being selected for #GfSBFE at @AmericanUnderground and winning demo day in 2018, receiving a scholarship to attend @FounderGym in 2019, and being selected for @GoogleStartups #AFA in 2020 under the leadership of @jewelmelanie.
Winning #GfSBFE paved the way for @BackstageCapital investment in to @GetOptimalTech and being selected in their LA accelerator. @Arlanwashere and crew changed the game again. Their accelerator helped us find our voice, provided us with key introductions and biz dev opps.
Backstage introduced us to @Econoahmad & @iamAlexMitchell who now are the best of advisors & friends. Taj, Alex, and @laincubator urged us to compete in the #CaliforniaClimateCup. We won our category "Clean & Smart Grid" and grew our clean tech relationships.
Backstage also introduced us to @ShaunFromLA at @MILA. MILA has been a thought partner and helped us grow into a #TechnologyYouCanTouch solution provider. MILA expanded our team and made our version 1.0 of VIA better (more on VIA soon,😉).
