Anonymous story #94

The one with the Douglasdale Milk
Ah would you look at the time? I am of marriagable age and it's time for good ol' samoosa run. Here's my story
There's one thing that needs to be known, My ummi [may Allah bless her beloved heart] believes in one thing regarding samoosa runs: She hates the idea of the traditional samoosa runs
Her points on this is that, why must the boy & his family get the opportunity to have front row seats? watch and judge the model on the catwalk? then be the person to decide if he likes her or not and propose?
So my mum won't allow any male to come on a samoosa run... rather my sister and I will go to them for a samoosa run. She believes that we should watch, judge and propose. At first I was like okay this woman is weird, but gradually the idea grew on me and I like it now
Back to the story, I'm am at an age where apparently I am to be joined in holy matrimony. I'm 22, give me a break! I have things to do, a life to live, the FREEDOM that comes with being single. Plus I was studying
But I believed in having a halaal relationship from the get go, and I might die of loneliness if I don't get some form of love and intimacy so I GUESS I could give marriage a chance [Lol all jokes aside, I wanted to get married]
I have had about 2 samoosa runs, not very eventful for whole a story, but they didn't end up how I would have liked, meaning, I didn't get MARRIED from those
One fine tuesday morning, my mother sent me to Pnp to buy some bread, milk and fresh cream, I wore my pajama's because why not. I head over to get some milk and I stared at the options, How have I forgotten what milk my mother buys?
LOL trust me to. So I call ummi, she's like Clover, I'm like, Seriously? We drink clover? She like yes. I'm like okay bye and cut the phone
I look to my side because I sensed a presence and saw the most beautiful piece of meat standing there, LIKE BOY, This is the dairy section, you're in the wrong aisle 😏

(la hawla wa la quwatta illa billa😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭)
He looked at me, laughed and said "How do you not know what milk you drink?" I said, "My mother fills it into glass jars so things are possible ahehaheha"

(10/10 Homegirl's legs are wobbly😂😭😂😭😂😭😂😭😂)
Looking at the milk because I did not want to participate in conversation with a random person so can he just leave so I can get my milk. He just said, "You should try Douglasdale, it's better" and he took the milk and left.
I was like "OK" but in my head I said, I won't but thanks for the opinion. I got the goods and went to pay, the same guy was a few tills ahead of me and he was with an uncle, who I realized was someone my father played golf with. Who knew he had such a good looking son 😭
I paid and went home and told my mum about the encounter, she got excited and said that if I say he's that good looking, she's going to tell my father to tell his father that we want to come and see her son.
I was like Woah Chill. I was just saying.
Anyway, she told my dad and he called and told the uncle and the uncle was like they think it's weird that the girls side should come so they'll come, my father refused and said that that won't work for us. All hope was lost and I will never encounter Milk Boy again.
A week later one aunty phoned my mother and said that someone told her that she has daughters and her son is looking to get married, my mother explained that the only way he would be able to see me was if we came over, so they agreed,
The lady gave the address and that was it, no names, nothing! Now we just had to go to the auction and see the goods to be bidded, fun

We arrived at their house a week later, I wore a simple abaya and hijab [my ummi dressed like she was the one who was doing the run]
When they opened the door, the word "SHOCKED" could explain it. It was my fathers golf partner! MILK BOYS father! I was excited, too excited for my liking. Then I panicked, what if they had another son? I will cry on the spot.
The golf uncle was surprised as well, and asked my father about what's going on, my father was like he's confused as well, but it turned out that the aunty that referred them to us didn't mention any names and just gave our house number.
We walked in and they chatted about this situation for a while, the uncle asked if I was the one who was supposed to be the one that would have come the first time my abba contacted him,
we said yes, then they laughed and said that all worked out in the end Alhumdulillah.
They also mentioned how weird they thought about us coming to visit, but they thought it was refreshing.

I was not calm during this situation, The emotions that were running through me were too much. I had so many questions, WHERE WAS THE BOY? IS IT MILK BOY? UGHH.
The parents said that their son will be arriving shortly because he had an emergency at the hospital, we were early anyway so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Hospital? Was Golden boy a Doctor? Ohhh Interesting

(sis is doing the most😭😂😭😂😭😂)
We spoke for a while and his parents asked me questions about what I was doing and how old I was and more stuff. I was too concentrated on figuring out who the boy was to pay proper attention to what they were saying
Golden boy finally arrived and when he walked in I almost yelled ALHUMDULILLAH
It was milk boy! He greeted and when he saw me he took a retake and then as if recognizing me he smiled, the most HEARTSTOPPING smile might I add
I was so relieved, at least it's not his brother because then I'll have to spend my life loving my brother in law Astagfirullah [If I got married to his brother]
We spoke with his parents and mine for a while and then I asked if we could go speak in private because I was getting frustrated. He looked amused and said sure and got up, I followed him into a room and sat on the bed.

(👏👏 I can't believe she asked herself 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏)
He sat on the opposite side of me and he said, "What milk did you land up getting?" and I said, "Clover" and he was amused and said, "Oh so you don't trust me?" and I laughed and said, "I do, I just didn't want to get beaten with the fresh cream by my mum" and he laughed
He then thought he was clever and said, "I'm surprised you didn't wear pajamas" and smirked. I said I was wearing them underneath
We then spoke about ourselves and what we were doing.
He was 24, He was a doctor and worked at the a hospital near by, Masha'allah. He told me some other things and he asked me about myself and I told him
We laughed and made jokes and some where during this time there was a moment of silence. Not an awkward silence, a comfortable silence. Out of no where he blurted out, "I like you"

(😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁)
I looked at him with wide eyes and he realized what he said and looked down while he turned red. In that moment I was so certain about my feelings, "I like you too" I said and smiled
He looked up and smiled and we spoke for a while longer. His sister interrupted us and we went back to our parents. We had tea and then left. As we exited the door he whispered behind me, "Hopefully we'll get to drink Douglasdale together everyday" and I laughed
(hahaha you what would be funny ahaha was if this story lmaoo had to not work out ahahahahahaha)
I made istikhara and my answer was positive, Alhumdulillah. I told my mother and she was so happy, she called them and we gave our proposal. His mother told my mother that her sons istikhara was positive and they were waiting for us

( 💍💍💍💍💍💍💍💍💍)
Alhumdulillah we got married last year, all within a week. Had our wonderful sons a month ago and just moved into our new home last week. And yes, we do drink Douglasdale milk in our household 😂

(😭😭😭Bro I'm crying 😭😭😭)
Besides our sons, they drink breast milk. Please remember us in your duaa's and I will make duaa that most of you meet your milk boys/girls soon Insha'allah. Fee Amanillah
OMG you're posting my story now and I'm so excited and anxious 😂 Hopefully they like it :) - Story #94 — WE LOVE YOUR STORY! 😭😭😭😭 We all make dua that Allah ta'ala always keep you & your family happy ♥️♥️ curiouscat.qa/TheSamoosaRunn…
