My 2020 NFL/Fantasy Football Bold Predictions Thread
Davante Adams goes KABOOM and Breaks the record for receptions (113) and yardage (1,519) in a single season for a packers WR as he roars his way to the Number 1 overall WR in Fantasy this year.
My pick to be the 2019 Chris Godwin? Robert Woods. Currently not being drafted as a top 18 WR Woods will have a career season on his way to being a top 8 WR and will break his career high for TD's. Woods will the lead the rams in receptions, yards, and TD's and go over 90/1,250/7
Cowboys fans you ready? In search of a new contract Dak Prescott goes wild on the most dangerous offense in the NFC. Dak Prescott wins the MVP and will be a top 2 Fantasy QB as for the first time since 1996 the cowboys will reach the NFC Championship (but lose to the saints).
After a poor showing in 2019 Alvin Kamara bounces back as an Offensive player of the year candidate and leads the league in Total TD's as well as a top 3 finish in Scrimmage yards and catches 90+ balls on the road to a top 2 RB finish and a career season.
Hayden Hurst will be the 2019 Mark Andrews as he isn't currently being drafted as a top 12 TE. Hurst shocks fantasy owners with a top 6 TE finish after catching 8+ TD's and 800+ yards. Hurst is a draft day gem at the TE position and the falcons won't miss Austin Hooper.
KABOOM ALERT!!! Evan Engram finally stays healthy and delivers the career season that all giants fans have been waiting for. Engram is my TE BOOM of the year as he finishes the season being a top 4 TE outscoring Ertz/Waller and skyrockets up draft boards in 2021.
RIP to the streak. For the first time in his historic start to a career Mike Evans will not reach 1,000 rec yards as he struggles with his hamstring injury and never really clicks with Brady. Evans will NOT be a top 15 WR this year as Chris Godwin fully takes over.
J.K Dobbins storms into the NFL as one of the best looking rookies and carves out a major role for the ravens offense and outscores an aging Mark Ingram. Dobbins will finish as a top 22 RB and will outscore Mark Ingram despite the huge draft discount.
Bounce back alert. James Conner reminds Steelers fans what he can do as he proves his worth on the road to playing 13+ games James Conner will total over 1,400 scrimmage yards,
10 total TD's, and 45+ catches. Conner finishes 2020 as a top 10 RB.
Browns fans rejoice! After being labeled my most over hyped team in 2019 the tables have turned. The browns make the playoffs for the first time since 2002 as Kevin Stefanski wins Coach of the year, Myles Garret leads the NFL in sacks, and Nick Chubb leads the NFL in rushing.
BREAKOUT ALERT. Finally with a good QB Tyler Boyd shows hes the NFL's next big thing at the slot position. Boyd becomes one of the best draft day values at WR with a 90+ catch, 1100+ yard, and 8+ TD season. Boyd finishes as a top 12 WR in PPR.
SLEEPER ALERT. Darren Waller? NOPE. Henry Ruggs? NOPE. It will be Hunter Renfrow who leads the raiders in receptions and receiving TD's as Renfrow becomes a 3rd down machine and finishes as a top 25 WR despite not being drafted in the top 45 WR's.
It was a good run. For the first time since 2016 Keenan Allen will NOT catch 90 passes and Will NOT finish as a top 25 WR as he struggles to develop chemistry with Tyrod Taylor.
The new look chargers offense will severely hurt Allen as he has his worst season in years.
How quickly they forget. Jared Goff reminds everyone why he was the first overall pick in 2016 with a career season. Goff currently not being drafted as a top 16 QB is my top sleeper at QB. Goff ends up being a top 12 QB in 2020 as he throws for over 28 TD's and 4,500 yards.
Remember Me? Le'Veon Bell proves last year was a fluke behind a new look O Line and a full season with a healthy Darnold. Bell will run and catch his way to a top 12 RB finish in PPR and is my pick to be the 2019 Mark Ingram.
What arthritis? Todd Gurley gives us one last vintage season as a falcon Gurley will total 1,300+ Scrimmage yards and 11+ Total TD's and will outscore Austin Ekeler and
Aaron Jones on the road to a top 8 RB finish.
Coming off a monster season Leonard Fournette struggles to replicate his role with the Jaguars as he loses passing downs to Chris Thompson and his injury history cost him some games. Fournette will NOT finish as a top 22 RB on the road to being a top fantasy bust this year.
The titans are my let down team of 2020. Coming off an AFC Championship appearance Tannehill and crew struggles as they miss the playoffs and Tannehill fails to be a top 18 fantasy QB, AJ Brown will NOT be a top 15 WR, and Derrick Henry will NOT be a top 6 RB.
It is time. KABOOM ALERT!!! Will fuller finally puts the injury concerns behind him as he explodes into a fantasy star with Hopkins now in Arizona and the WR1 role all to himself.
Fuller has a career season and finishes a top 15 WR with 9+ TD's.
Regression Alert. Austin Ekeler goes from being a top 5 RB in 2019 to NOT a top 15 RB in 2020 despite Melvin Gordon leaving and Ekeler being the starter RB. Joshua Kelly and Justin Jackson Siphon Ekelers early down work and Tyrod fails to find Ekeler in the passing game.
Calm down on the rookie hype. Despite Deandre Swift and Cam Akers being drafted as top 50 picks in fantasy drafts NEITHER Akers or Swift will finish as a top 25 RB as they both struggle mightily in their rookie seasons and Kareem Hunt outscores both of them.
For the first time since 2016 Deandre Hopkins will NOT be a top 6 WR in PPR formats. Despite the heavy hype Hopkins will not match his usual numbers in Arizona as Murray spreads the ball around and use a rushing attack in the red zone.
After a mediocre 2019 the Bears come roaring back and finish 1st in the NFC North as the Bears defense will finish the season number 1 in fantasy points and are the defense I am targeting in every single one of my fantasy leagues.
HES FREE. Finally Free from Adam Gase, Kenyan Drake runs wild in the desert for the Cardinals as he searches for a new contract. Drake will be the workhorse and end up being a
league winning RB in Round 2 of drafts as he finishes a top 6 RB in 2020.
AJ Brown? Nope. Terry McLaurin? Nope. DK Metcalf? Nope. Everyone is looking at these 3 to be the next Elite 2nd year fantasy WR but Im going with Marquise Brown to outscore all 3 of them on the road to a top 15 finish in 2020.
Every season 1 player puts up historic numbers. In 2020 it will be Saquon Barkley as he becomes the first New York Giant to go for 2,200 scrimmage yards in a season since
Tiki Barber in 2005. Barkley ends the season as the RB1 and Fantasy MVP.
For the first time in over 10 years the Patriots will NOT make the playoffs as their entire offense bust. Cam Newton will NOT be a top 20 QB, James White will NOT be a top 35 RB,
Edelman will NOT be a top 30 WR.
2020 will be the year of the Saints as for the first time since 2010 the Saints will win a super bowl and Drew Brees will announce his retirement after the season and ride into the sunset as a first ballot Hall of Famer.
