There's an active movement inside academia to mold science into a political tool. It's grounded in a radical postmodern conception that takes science to be fundamentally political. From this perspective, they're simply making science moral by equalising its bias. 1/3
It has become a kindly inquisition where certain knowledge is forbidden on moral grounds & politically inconvenient facts are either strongly discouraged or made to disappear. I call it "discourse engineering", & you'll probably recognise it more clearly in journalism. 2/3
If you think our public conversation is dysfunctional now, imagine the world without a shared source of scientific knowledge. Facts about reality coming from warring political think tanks & research institutes. This is the path we're set upon. 3/3
