With the whole #SomebodyArtistClub and #NobodyArtistClub, all I gotta say is that I grew up doing doodles in my sketchbook because I was too shy to talk to anyone. I didn't care if anyone saw them. In fact I didn't want most people to see them. What mattered was that I did art
for me, and it helped me through a hard time in my life. (I totally understand using the hashtag for getting your name out there by the way, that's totally acceptable.) But what's not acceptable is telling people they aren't worthy enough or that they aren't trying hard enough.
Not everyone will move at the same pace as someone with like 95k followers or something. And that's perfectly okay. The word "amateur" literally comes from "to do something for the love of it." But we treat it like its a bad thing. Art doesn't have to be a competition.
Sometimes all someone needs is just being told "hey that's really cool!" in a hard time.
