Since I wrote my Master's thesis about the role and agency of Belgium's representative Maurice Joostens (sixth from the left on the picture) during the negotiations, I couldn't help to write a short Wikipedia biography of him.

From the Chinese side, the ‘negotiation with eleven nations’ was depicted in a very different way.

Restricted access to archives and planning rearrangements made me postpone (let's hope not cancel) an article about"Belgian-Chinese diplomacy in the Boxer War era" on which I was working. So for the time being, this is all I have to say about China folks!
