I agree with @MMandryk on this: the Crowns offer tremendous value to SK people and any government would be stupid to sell them.

Where we differ is the degree to which we believe the Sask Party isn't that kind of stupid. Their history on the Crowns certainly suggests they are.
We clearly disagree on the value of STC. I think it was an essential service worth the investment, Murray doesn't. That's fine.

But there's no question the Sask Party promised they wouldn't privatize it.

They lied. One year later it was gone.

Even more serious is just how close the Sask Party came to selling off SaskTel, SGI and other crowns in 2017.

First with the introduction of Bill 40, their two-step selloff legislation.

And then with a secret cabinet committee that entertained proposals from two different potential buyers for SaskTel.

With the dividends, the jobs, the essential services they bring us, with the value they hold for SK people, I can see why the Sask Party will deny any plans to sell the Crowns until after the election.

But with their track record, I can't see why anyone would believe them.
