#Vamily. Observe these two photos. If you do this with me, chances are, I will not have anything to do with you.

Allow me to indulge as to why...
The individual here has no real intention of supporting what I do really. They probably know who/what I am and are trying to grab my attention. At the very least, they know I post a lot of VtM stuff and know we are potentially ‘compatible’, for lack of a better word.
But that’s the problem. We aren’t. It’s not that they have a little following and I deem myself bigger and better. I’m not. The next tweet I write could blacklist my arse twice over and send me into Final Death quicker before I say Society of Leopold.
I don’t like getting mass likes from the same person in this manner when they don’t follow me. They are not really interested in what I do, beyond I post VtM stuff. They just want followers for their page.
I get it. That stuff IS important for content creators, for you build an audience that I’ll regularly view your stuff. But, I don’t want an audience. I want a community. The difference being is that the latter engages with what I do, rather than just spectate.
I have spoken to practically every follower I have ever received on Twitter. Including those who may have unfollowed me, that is about 900 people. When they follow, I thank them. I am genuinely thankful to those who have taken another step to support my cynically witty tweets.
I like most responses to my tweets and I talk to people. I love speaking to you all, cause you’re just so darn great to talk to! I have made some great friends via this platform and that makes me feel ao happy.
I share and watch the things you do, cause I love how creative we all are. It is the very least I can do for the support you all have given me.
This applies to Instagram as well, and there are just as many cool VtM related things going on over there!
So imagine how deflated I feel when I see these mass likes from a person who doesn’t follow me. It’s just a bit shitty really. Unlike what I do, I don’t think folks like this one are genuine in what they do, and I’m not into falseness.
I do not want to follow someone who then follows me, when we both know they will just fuck off after a week, max. This sort of engagement is incredibly forced and shallow, which is very weird for a ‘community’ page.

I hate follows-for-follows. This is a ‘subtler’ version.
I do known there are some instances where I will do the whole ‘Thanks for the follow 😊’ thang & some people say how they thought they did already & wanted to change that. I believe those, cause at least they actually went that step to follow me (again?). I appreciate y’all.
In short: Create communities, not specators.
Oh wow...dat timing...
