Copy of your input : Dear SA
Good day Ms Lizette Cloete
I rate government's overall response to COVID-19 as poor.
The first three week lockdown was fine. We all understood the need for hospitals to get ready and you, Mr President, had our trust and goodwill. The next two

weeks were strenuous but again, we understood.
Then we saw SAPS and SANDF and Bheki Cele, Mrs Dlamini Zuma and Fikele Mbalula and Dr Patel and gradually others missteps and lack of clear, coordinated, well thought out regulations. We have been treated like children yet
2/11
expected to behave like adults. Conspiracy theories abound and the people of all races and classes are angry and uncertain, fearful and poor. Yes, we need a reset, not only in the economy, but in every area, especially this government, where the people see government
3/11
as being the elite and not caring about the ordinary hardworking taxpayers, the middle class and poor and vulnerable. Your alcohol and cigarette sales bans are irrational. The tobacco ban particularly is not supported by scientific evidence that
4/11
more smokers than non smokers will get the virus and end up in ICU. Even your own NCID says so. So you open yourself up to ridicule and people don't trust you and don't want to obey the regulations. Police themselves, along with SANDF, Metro Police
5/11
and Correctional Services have been arrested for crimes. We just don't have faith in them either. Certain government ministers look like fools, saying one thing, then another, to cover up their mistakes. However, we are not fools.
6/11
I hereby ask you to please remove those who have performed very poorly during this Covid-19 crisis from your Cabinet, Mr President, they are mainly the names above. I always stood up for you, thinking you had our best interests at heart, and
7/11
I do still like you, as you at least speak nicely to us, unlike some others, but I can't trust you until you do some radical transformation in the ANC, the MPs, the Cabinet, provincial Premiers. Remove and punish the corrupt thieves, speak up for the farmers,
8/11
both white and black. Without food, we will all be dead anyway. I can hear you are a Christian man. Please display servant leadership like Christ did, washing the feet of his followers. Serve, don't rule.
9/11
At the moment, all that has been going through my head like a constant refrain is: We are sheep without a Shepherd. Please read Ezekiel 34 in the Bible and call your people to love us, your people, like a true shepherd would.
10/11
Thank you. I still believe in you and that you will do right by us.
Please lift the cigarette ban. I smoke because of a mix of deep psychological and emotional issues.
Track the National Disaster Management Act Amendment Bill here introduced by @GroenewaldPJ. More Parliamentary oversight, less duration n maybe, finally, no more Mrs Zol ex Zuma in charge!
