One of my fav musical instrument, the Kora – A 21 string harp-lute built from a small calabash gourd cut in half, covered with cow, goat or sheep skin to make a resonator, projecting the most amazing Sound & Frequency. Also used by Griots reciting stories.

Mainly used by people in West Africa, the Kora is one of the most complex string instruments from Africa, easily tuned to create a wide range of Sound.

Earlier Kora instruments had less strings and over time the strings has increased and design adapted.
