2/6 Leo DiCaprio doesn't talk like from Mass., but he had the attitude down pat. That intense, in-yo-face dickishness. Like he's on the edge. Just perfect. Perfect.
3/6 Jack Nicholson misses it completely. In fact, he was miscast. No one wants to admit this. He played it all wrong. All wrong. But the script was so good, and the other actors so good, that it smoothed it over.
4/6 Alec Baldwin, no way. No way that guy looks like he's from Boston. Missed the accent, missed it all.
5/6 Big surprise for me: Martin Sheen actually looks very convincing as a Mass. native. Not really sure why. Be just does. His accent is wrong, but...there is just something about this guy.
6/6 And oh, by the way: Boston accent is very different from how we spoke in southeastern Mass (New Bedford, Fall River, Dartmouth, etc). Down there, it's even more...swamp Yankee.
