These are some of the questions that people have about Family Planning, I'll put them in a thread. RT for others

Q. Can anyone use modern family planning methods?
A. Yes, here is a rule of thumb, if you are having sex, you should strongly and I mean strongly consider getting one
Q. Can modern family planning, cause infertility?

A. The temporary methods do not cause infertility, once you stop using the temporary method, your fertility returns to the state it was before you started using the method

Permanent methods can't be reversed. Eg. Vasectomy
Q. What about the side effects

A. Look, side effects might happen, however, some women don't have any at all, while some might have a few, eg: changes in menstrual pattern, weight changes, headaches, breast tenderness

Make the decision with your provider on the best for you
Q. Can a woman who has just given birth use these modern family planning methods?

A. Some can be used immediately, eg: implants, condoms, pills and even tying the tubes

If she wants to use injectables or the IUD, she might have to wait a few weeks. All are safe in breastfeeding
Q. Will these modern family planning methods affect my health?

A. No, they are not dangerous to your health and won't cause problems to you in the future, but speak to your doctor if you have existing health conditions
Q. But my neighbor said that these modern methods fail?

A. There is a slight chance that some might fail, however that chance is too small, some of the these methods would work 99% of the time, if they fail, there is a chance that it was not used properly

2. You feel frustrated or stuck and want to feel better

3. You pick your phone and check twitter

4. You feel better

The problem is: anytime you feel frustrated you reach for social media, you've created a habit cycle that's bad
The difficult part is the cue. It's what triggers your brain to start a behavior.

This leads to the next step which is a "craving" a motivation sort. In this case, you just want to feel better

This leads to the behaviour performed that gives you the reward.
Here's the thing, many people focus on the reward and the behavior without understanding the first 2 parts, what leads to it.

At a point in my life, whenever I was stressed, I would reach for a bottle of cola, the reward I was looking for was feeling better.

Dear Nigerians, if a person starts coughing during eating, it's likely because a piece of food has entered their airway.

Let them cough it out, it's the body's way of clearing the windpipe.

Don't just rush to give them water to drink, you might make things worse.

Here's why?
In your throat are two pipes, one leading to the lungs that exchange air and the other to the stomach for food. They both have a common entrance at the back of your throat.

There is a flap on the pipe that is over the pipe that sends air to the lungs called the epiglottis
It stops food or water from getting to the lungs. That is why when you swallow and talk at the same time food tends to enter that causes you to cough. That cough is simply trying to remove the particles of food that may have entered your windpipe
You can't stop it till it's clear

People faint because for a brief moment, enough oxygen was not getting to their brain

Let them lie down a bit so blood returns to their brain
Raise their legs above the level of their heart
Loosen their belt or belly trimmer. Stop watering them, they're not plants
A sudden emotional experience like fear can lead to fainting because the body triggers a response that for a brief moment, lowers their blood pressure so that not enough blood is going to the brain.

The falling is the body's way of getting the brain to the level of the heart
Raise their legs above the level of the heart to force more blood back to the brain.

It takes a few moments to get conscious again.

Low blood sugar can also lead to it
Dehydration, extreme exercise(This happened to me)

Severe pain can cause people to faint also
