I was recently asked which I though was older, Sanskrit or Tamil. There’s been so much outside interference on this debate as the Abrahamic based west and middle east have tried destroy Indian history & identity to divide the Hindu population it's hard to know.
The whole thing is politicized. Because Hindus are fully participating, western Christians have been successful in turning Hindus against each other. They created AIT & Dravidian myths as a means to turn Hindus against each other creating that division.
Hindus in the south think they're superior, Hindus in the north think they're superior. In reality, they're all from the same Dharmic/Vedic tradition, culture & spirituality. Until they realize they are being played by historical invaders and colonizers, it makes it hard to unite
The west will fight tooth and nail to maintain the false Aryan Invasion Theory & equally false Dravidian narrative. It helps them maintain their Abrahamic based history & narrative. It helps them keep Hindus divided & fighting amongst themselves making conversion efforts easier.
Personally regarding the debate on which is older, Sanskrit or Tamil, I pose this question. If Tamil is indeed older, why are the Vedas in Sanskrit not Tamil? Perhaps we would know more if the Islamic invaders handn't burned & destroyed all the ancient universities & temples.
As we have had so much Indian history destroyed, erased, & falsified I look to the ancient texts themselves and what they say. From there based on logic I would date them in this order, oldest to newest.

More important than which is older, Hindus must rise above these artificial divisions. Until all of Dharmic/Vedic tradition stand together united against those seeking to destroy their culture, Sanatan Dharma will be threatened. They want you divided, don't give them this, UNITE.
