This is basically another version of "Dems will vote for liberal stuff and judges." That does not sway me. "Liberal policy" does not worry me nearly as much as "enabled an authoritarian, anti-constitutional, un-American enemy of the constitution." That's the only issue. /3
David argued in 2018 that Trump is just a transitional figure. I disagree. He remolded the GOP and there is no snap-back to "normal" or "good" Republicanism. Every enabler should pay the electoral price. Every single one. /4
I can already hear someone saying: But Romney. Hey, I'm a Mitt fan. Lots of votes for Mitt in this house. But anyone who will caucus with the GOP, and keep McConnell in power, has to go. If Romney broke with the caucus, fine by me, but 1/2 of an impeachment vote isn't enough. /5
The entire party has been shown to be toxic and dangerous. The GOP, the party of my youth and nearly 35 years of my life, betrayed the Constitution. Every single one of them has to go. There can be no "but I like my guy" exceptions, imo. /5x
