The final part of our latest #NLsena project (series of 3 pieces by @kaul_vivek) Thanks all #NLsena members who contributed. You guys are the reason we can do stuff like this. A way good journalism will survive - together as #NLsena newslaundry.com/sena/indias-re…
What is #NLsena? Its when NL subscribers who can afford to contribute more than the standard subscription for a report that we put up on our sena page. These reports need time, money and resources that are significant. Here's another. You will see why. newslaundry.com/2020/06/27/fea…
These reports take a team to put together. Other than the task of research and on ground effort, editing, design, tech & production. Commitment and dedication. You want quality news? Its not easy. Read this to get an idea. newslaundry.com/2020/02/08/cau…
Other than the resources and drive, there is risk and resolve involved. Remember that the role of journalism was to hold power to account, speak truth to power etc etc - remember that? Real this #NLsena report as a reminder. newslaundry.com/2020/07/20/mar…
Like i was saying quality journalism costs money other than the risk. We'll take the latter, can you make the resources happen? TO speak truth to power and news that informs the public? We will do our bit, will you do yours? If you will, click here 🙏🏽 newslaundry.com/sena
When you contribute for an #NLsena report you also get to have a chat with our in house reporters to discuss and chat about what it takes and what all could not make it to the report. Also you could subscribe and pay to keep news free newslaundry.com/subscription

Hey Prof. I see you quite enjoy twitter troll fame & tamasha. Not sure why you’re asking for permission when you posted a link (sent to you as promised) meant for subscribers only – here, and when changed to private, encouraged your followers to carry out an 1/n
illegal act of piracy and copyright infringement. This one could forgive if one was dealing with a twitter troll but is not something that one expects from a “tenured professor”. 2/n
Importantly why would you leave the name of my very young colleague un-retracted since you beef is with me?! His Muslim name has predictably led to horrible comments from your followers most of whom are loony bigot who revel in hate & your twitter indulgence. 3/n
All these anchors peloing on “revdi culture”. Tell em to run their news operation without sarkari ads. Those are tax payers funded revdis they’re getting fat on with little or no public interest journalism and they have the gall to dissect welfare for the poor.

Again @vivekagnihotri is lying about something that is demonstrably false & can be verified. As is evident in his interview to me, he cant seem to tell the difference between a fact & an opinion. His claim in this interview to @NewYorker of the full quote in the 1/n
now famous "who said facts are facts" interview is false. Am putting the two clips where we discussed "facts" at the end of this thread. Compare that with what he claims is the complete quote. The full unedited interview has always been available on our website and like 2/n
most of our interviews is behind a paywall and available to our subscribers. Clearly no interviewer (@IChotiner in this case) has control over what Vivek claims, putting this out here so @NewYorker and Mr. Chotiner can take note - perhaps add a line in the digital version of 3/n

Since the brilliant "journalists" at Swarajya have abandoned reporting & often copy-paste nonsense from bile-bins like Opinida, & at times twitter rants, I figured they'd update their report based on what was put on twitter since that is as far as their reporting goes. 1/n
This dumb piece made claims based on a twitter rant (ace journalism clearly). Not that the geniuses at Swrajya asked for a response from our reporter (Reporting 101, which is what we had actually done to the Zee employee which was called out as “not showing us in good light” 2/n
& "harassment" 😄 by the dim desk that wrote this piece. Clearly different understanding of journalism.) but @Basantrajsonu put the facts out on twitter calling out the Zee employee's lies which has met with expected silence from him. But also from the “journalist/s" who 3/n
Channelling my inner Anand Ranganathan. Here is a response. Kyunki aaj hum bhi thode velle hain. Someone please copy paste for him since he blocked me during his last Newslaundry related outburst. 1/n
Arre yaar Anand. Amused twitter users just alerted me to a vile, slanderous, abusive rant... ok, basically your normal communication on twitter. The piece is full of delusions about yourself. My response to your melodrama, & usual hysteria (dude seriously). WNDTT 2/n
You have claimed some NL insider informed you there was chatter about taking down your pieces. Your past association with NL notwithstanding, voices in your own head don't count as "NL insider". Only 2 people here have the authority to remove anything from NL & neither of us 3/n
