The first phase of the partial closure of the #3MB began 12 midnight and is already in effect. As earlier stated, the traffic flow from the Island towards the Mainland will be restricted from 12am to 12pm.

Those moving in this direction during this time will be diverted from Ilubirin towards CarterBridge to continue their journey through either Iddo and Oyingbo or IjoraOlopa and EkoBridge.

Between 12pm and 1pm, we will be phasing out the traffic movement from the Mainland to the Island in preparation for those coming from the Island towards the Mainland from 1pm.

Crucially, it is important to note that the traffic diversion points are now at Adeniji and Adekunle (not Oworonshoki as earlier planned).

This is because at the stakeholders' meeting held yesterday, it was decided that since the ongoing repair works will only cover the Adeniji to Adekunle section for now, there was no need to seal off the entire stretch of the bridge to Oworonshoki.
