When I first heard that Mahesh Kumar Agarwal IPS, who was not at all in the race for CoP post, was made Chennai Commissioner through his RSS connections, I did not believe it. Or rather refused to believe, as he so far had a stellar reputation. 1/n

Later I heard, the fringe right wing persons like Maridhas, Madan, etc. had round the clock access to Mr.Agarwal, then too I thought may be for strategic purposes to keep them in check. 2/n

In spite of being pointed out that the armed guard provided to a lumpen element like Madan Ravichandran is a waste of government resources, Mr. Agarwal refused to withdraw it. As of now, Constables Pradheep & Madhavan provide 24 Hrs. security, round the clock. 3/n

I got my first suspicion when the complaint filed by News18 group against Maridhas was completely diluted. The FIR even failed to name Maridhas. On the day news about FIR came out, Maridhas came out with a video proudly claiming his name is not in the FIR. 4/n

First priority in any investigation in cyber crime is to seize digital evidence. So far, police have not even bothered to search the premises connected with Maridhas, seize his phone, computer, etc. I am told Maridhas has replaced his hard disk & destroyed all evidence. 5/n

Without seizing any digital evidence, I wonder how one can conduct any investigation. In all probability, the complaint of FIR will be closed as "mistake of fact". Now let's see the way @chennaipolice_ handled the Karuppar Kootam case. 6/n

Even without any overt act on their part, 4 additional accused have been arrested. Once the police had already seized necessary evidence, & the prime accused pleading guilty, there was no necessity for any 'arrest'. But, Mr.Agarwal ensured these arrests. 7/n

The way Mr. Agarwal, as CoP handled the complaint against 'peeing medico' Dr. Subbiah's obscene & disgusting behaviour is a classic case for consideration. Here is a woman, a widow, helpless, on whose door a leading surgeon peed for a petty reason. 8/n

An ordinary head constable in a police station would have handled this complaint better. No human being with dignity would tolerate such behaviour. Dr. Subbiah should now be cooling his heels in Puzhal prison. But he is happily flaunting his RSS connections. 9/n

Mr.Agarwal allowed, RSS functionaries to influence the police, delayed even issuance of CSR on the complaint for 10 days, registered an FIR under weak sections, never bothered to arrest Dr. Subbiah, but allowed RSS goons to threaten the complainant. 10/n

Finally, the complainant was forced to withdraw the complaint, which was proudly flaunted by @ABVPVoice in social media. I am told, the matter has quickly been finalised by police & papers sent to Alandur court for closure. 11/n

The proverbial last straw in this issue is the involvement of Sri Sri with city police for conducting yoga classes. In the past, several yoga sessions were conducted for Chennai City police. But, never was fraudsters Jaggi or Sri Sri involved. 12/n

Kindly recall, the first task undertaken by a sanghi fanatic M.Nageswara Rao, after he took over as CBI chief on a midnight was to bring in Sri Sri. 13/n

Several fine yoga teachers in Chennai city were roped in and sessions were conducted to the benefit of rank and file. Yoga is not a proprietary product of the fraudsters Baba Ramdev, Sri Sri or Jaggi. 14/n

There are plenty of fine Yoga teachers all over the country. But, Mr. Mahesh Kumar Agarwal has chosen Sri Sri, who is a known Modi supporter & an RSS man. 15/n

With these facts in mind, the only conclusion that I can arrive at is Mr. Mahesh Kumar Agarwal is a right wing supporter. His loyalty is more to the right wing than to the constitution or rule of law. 16/n

I know several left leaning & dravidian ideological IPS officers. But none of them allowed their ideology to interfere in their job. None defied their oath to protect any criminal like Dr. Subbiah or Maridass. 17/n

Posting a right leaning person for Chennai City ahead of elections is also strategical from the point of BJP.

Tough times are ahead guys. Brace yourself. A storm is looming ahead. 18/18
