On 12 Oct, 2017, DGIPR under Fadnavis govt issued Govt Resolution no. मािज-2017/प्र.क्र.287 /34 empaneling social media companies

The scope of work related not just to standard social media posts but also data targeting & "neutralizing negative sentiments"

The empaneled companies included the one owned by BJP/BJYM's IT cell chief which was appointed by the DGIPR to handle social media for ECI in Maharashtra.

People's data was given to such companies by Fadnavis govt to ensure profiling, targeting, & muzzling the Opposition.

The Maharashtra Chief Electoral officer now claims in his report that the BJP/BJYM IT cell chief's company was appointed by the Fadnavis govt (through DGIPR) & not by him.

It is scary to imagine how much voter data went from ECI to the BJP & was deployed in the elections.

We all know about docus like "The Great Hack" & how demographic & other data is used by IT cells in political campaigns to spread disinformation & shut down Opposition voices.

BJP IT cell has crores in funds.

This was state-sponsored electoral fraud under Fadnavis.

Will the @SpokespersonECI release the report of Maharashtra Chief Electoral Officer publicly?

Will the ECI order an investigation into @Dev_Fadnavis & DGIPR officials who executed this?

Will the ECI tell us how/whether crucial data was protected from going to the BJP?
