Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms says, "As a mother of 4 children, I do not trust this president with their lives." Says reopening schools exposes teachers to "children who are asymptomatic who may unintentionally infect those who don't have the ability to ward off this virus."
Lance Bottoms recounts her husband's fight, who she says was in good health, with Covid-19: "To watch this virus take him to his knees was nothing short of astonishing. This is what our workers in our school face when we send our children back to school."
DNC Chair Tom Perez, on Trump admin claims children can serve as Covid-19 "stoppers": "It's one thing to lie about the number of people at the inauguration in 2017, that's troubling in itself, but it's an entirely different thing to mislead people about life and death issues."
