the place God desires to do His most marvelous, creative, miraculous, otherwise unexplainable work beyond all we can ask or think is INSIDE HUMANS. In the selfish malformed lying cheating human heart. Of all the wonders He performs, the one He loves most is still transformation.
God can change our circumstances. Not only can he, he often does. You’ve seen it. I’ve seen it. But he has a much greater priority than altering things around us. He wants to change the heart & mind within us. As long as the earth endures, the most powerful witness of the gospel
will be the transformed life. It will be the loveless person who comes to love. It will be the spiritually blind who come to see. It will be those deaf to the Spirit that come to hear. It will be the tongue of the profane & deceitful & slandering & cruel that has been loosed to
worship God & build up the church instead of tearing people down. Loosed to encourage the fainthearted & minister grace to the many dying for some word of hope. The gorgeous paradox is that there’s nothing on earth He who never changes loves doing more than changing human hearts.
