This is what we mean when we say that White supremacy has infected US & Western Christianity. It’s important for ppl to understand that this is not ignorance; it’s intentional.
People are actually arguing with Metaxas as if he’s simply uninformed. That’s not the case. He has chosen to frame Jesus as White despite all evidence because that is critical to the project of White supremacist Christianity.
It’s a perfectly circular argument that defies logic: “Jesus was White therefore Whiteness is superior. And Whiteness is superior therefore Jesus must have been White.”
Insisting that Jesus was White is a way of asserting ontological racial superiority without overtly stating it. There is no other rationale. It defies all logic but the logic of white supremacy. Trying to argue with it is a waste of time.
People really need to understand this: White supremacy was/is not an accident. The transatlantic slave trade was not an accident. Native American genocide was not an accident. The Holocaust was not an accident. They were intentional acts of evil.
We need to stop wasting our time trying to convince the architects of evil that what they’re doing is wrong or misguided. They are unrepentant reprobates. Hand them over to the evil one and focus our energies on those whose hearts are not hardened.
