Just before the decision of Placing Pakistan on FATF Grey List was being reached, @betterpakistan Ahsan Iqbal, The Then Planning Commission Minister took Jibes at @MediaCellPPP explaining background of Pakistan landing on FATF Grey List,blaming PPP Government. 
The decision to press this issue could be seen in the context of a wider strategy to signal to Pakistan the risks it faced of allowing a permissive environment for terrorists, some of Militant outlets alleged supported by @CMShehbaz,The Then Punjab Chief Minister.
The FATF decision had an impact on Pakistan’s financial position, making it more difficult to raise capital on international markets, making outsiders even more wary of FDI,And as a result, put continued pressure on Pakistan’s foreign reserves,that it did other than Darnomics.
The US has been warning Pakistan about its FATF status *ever since* it left the gray list. The Oct 2015 Obama-Sharif joint statement specifically (& unusually) called out Pak’s UNSC & FATF obligations.

@ShahNafisa Current Secty Information @MediaCellPPP also clearly stated,Feb 2018,Pakistan was going to Land on FATF Grey List,all because of Pmln’s obsession with stuff other than what was in National Interest.
@ShireenMazari1 Pti MNA from 2013-2018,also stated Party’s stance on Government’s Failure addressing FATF Grey List issue.
It’s significant that the FATF proposal was co-sponsored by Countries with a large and politically active Pakistani community, and particularly invested in Pakistan’s political and economic stability while Pmln Government had no MoFA,instead they were busy taking Jibes at PPP.
Pak was placed in grey list with effect from June 2018,a while before GE2018,implying that terrorism financing and anti-money laundering laws were “deficient”, was given a 27-point action plan that to be implemented.

Well Known TV Anchor @AajKamranKhan played a Segment over this on his show,indicating Policy Failure to address the issue & its Implications.
After Pti Formed Government & took this up on all forums,started taking steps to address the issue, Same Party that had been blaming Pmln,started accusing Pti of Country’s status on FATF Grey List which was nothing but dirty politics.
@Hammad_Azhar & The team of officials from Pti Led Government took the issue vigorously in order to address Apprehensions by FATF body From working on plenary meetings to Briefing NA updating on efforts. Instead of Jumping the Gun,he stated facts & didn’t claim Political Milage.
Knowing the issue on hand, Pakistan Opposition Parties not only Blamed Pti for Pakistan Landing on FATF Grey List(which’s a Blatent Lie), instead of working on a Broader Spectrum for National Interest,They Played this one Politically too which shows their intentions.
So Much So, The Pmln’s self Proclaimed Pseudo Economist @MIshaqDar50 clearly tweeted,blamed Pti Government,contrary to what’s reality,forgetting the report blames Pmln Government for aiming its Priorities at other than what was in the National Interest of This Country.
So it all comes down to @ImranKhanPTI & @PTIofficial Government taking up yet another Tough Job,cleaning mess created by Regimes that went smug on their activities to serve their own interests & now Playing Politics for Personal Interests,all to save their ILL-Gotten Gains.
