How I got over 100 followers in LESS than my FIRST 3 and a half days on money Twitter:

There are Twitter growth thread EVERYWHERE

But this one is NOT a basic thread.

We go IN and talk about actionable things you can do TODAY to increase your engagement and follower count!

We’re gonna cover 4 points:

-Profile
-Engagement Hacks
-Tweets
-Other hacks

Let’s go

1) Profile

Your profile is essentially the landing page or sales page of your account.

The basics:

- Clear profile pic
- Branded header (hit up my boy @Cj_The_Alpha)
- Bio that explains your account
- Denonstrates you as an AUTHORITY in your niche

Now let’s go DEEPER 😈

What is a good profile pic? You have some options:

-Anonymous (should be a face/character)
-Your logo
-Your face

The biggest mistake I see is people have a photo of themselves and it’s a selfie or some pic with a filter on it

NO! It should be a clear, professional image 👨🏻‍💼

Make sure the branding between your profile image and header is consistent!

I’ve gotten a few compliments on my branding, so feel free to check out my profile as an example. Notice the colors matching and the simple intent

Now let’s talk bio

The most important thing to understand about your bio is that it’s NOT actually a bio. It should not be about YOU

It should be about what you put on your followers timeline!!

Convince profile visitors “you want this on your timeline!”

The best way to optimize your bio is to use templates

My friend @LessonToSelf recommended a great one to me:

{what you tweet about} | {another thing that makes you money} | {your own trophy} | CTA

@CureIncome recommends another awesome one:

Flex | Learn | Flex | Learn

If you’re struggling to put a bio together that puts you at ease, use one of the above ⬆️ you can’t go wrong

2) Engagement

Everyone on money twitter knows engagement is super important and you shouldn’t be commenting unless you have real value to add

You’ve heard it a million times

So I’m gonna skip the basics and get right to the juice 🧃

My favorite ways to engage:

🔑 Link your own high performing tweets as relevant comments under other people’s tweets

For example, let’s say you tweet something and it gets great stats

Then two days later you want to respond to someone else’s tweet on a similar topic

If your tweet would have been a good comment under the tweet you want to respond to, say something like “I was literally just thinking this!” And link your tweet! Borrow that audience

Always make sure to ask yourself “would this tweet make sense as a comment? 🤔 “ first

🔑 use the comments as your tweet testing playground!

There’s two ways to do this:

- if you have a tweet idea, try it out as a comment first. If it bangs, tweet it on its own! I tried this and got 20+ likes on the comment. So I tweeted it and got 40+ likes!!

The second way is to just reverse engineer this. If you have a comment that goes off, just make a tweet out of it

This is a great way to prequalify tweets. If you want to REALLY max this technique out, keep a running notes page of tweet ideas. Then,

When you want comment, look through your tweet ideas and see if any of them fit as an appropriate comment!

Basically, learn to integrate the tweeting and commenting process. This is how I got 5+ tweets to bang in my first 4 days on twitter

🔑 Lastly, like/comment/RT/quote RT your fav accounts a LOT

Don’t spam them with pointless comments or RT things that don’t fit your brand

But you want your name and your profile photo to be in their notifications bar ALL THE TIME

Eventually, you’ll get RTs from them

3) Tweets

This is the most underrated part of growing on twitter.

Everyone wants to say it’s all about your profile and engagement

But tweets that go off and get you a lot of exposure and clicks are just as important

Now, writing tweets is a skill. Luckily, I’ve got some neat tips and resources to make your tweet stock go 📈

👉 Use the Hemingway browser app to simplify your tweets. Simple is always better

👉 Speak in absolutes. “Losers are usually...” NO! “Losers are ALWAYS”

👉 Be polarizing. Have you ever heard of a successful political show that wasn’t CLEARLY aligned with a party? Followers like leaders who have strong opinions

👉 Tweet often! You might hear “don’t focus on tweeting before you have x amount of followers” ignore that!

The more you tweet, the more you show up on the TL, the more times you’re RTed, the more people see your profile.

Ofc, don’t overdo it. But even 10-12 tweets a day is fine. BUT always prioritize quality over quantity!!

👉Dont be salesy. You can do affiliate marketing through your bio, DMs, and opportunities on the TL but don’t push your affiliate product if you’re under a few thousand followers

👉 SELF PROMOTE. Don’t be shy! Demonstrate that you have belief in your own value. RT your own tweets that do well, tell people why they should follow you, call them to action on your profile.

Self promotion is overlooked!! I barely see young accounts RT their good tweets
