1. The new National Eduction Policy is one of the best reforms done so far in education sector.

There is complete overhaul of system, scheme, syllabus, content & governance in the #NEP2020
Have been following the development since 4 years.
Here are key features

2. Primary Education: We will no longer have 10+2 system in schooling.

Instead now it is 5+3+3+4 system

3. No separation of Arts and Science: meaning you can elect both Music/arts along with science.

Education in mother tongue to be given recognition and prominence.

Sign language for Divyangs will be standardized.

4. Equality in Education

First time ever, Transgenders to be given admission in all schools.

Focus on urban poor families, tribal education to be emphasized.

5. Higher Education System: Institutional Restructuring to be done in 3 levels.

Type1 -Research Universities
Type 2- Teaching Universities
Type 3- Colleges

6. National Research Foundation to be Started helping in recognition, financing, mentoring and providing facilities to all reserach an teaching universities.

Focus research on climate change, population dynamics, biotech,digital marketing, machine learning & AI

7. Agricultural Studies to be included under Professional Course.
Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha & Homeopathy to be mainstreamed
Skill-based training programme for General Duty Assistants (GDA), Emergency Medical Technicians and Laboratory Technicians.

8. Rashtriya Shiksha Aayog/National Education Commission to be formed headed by Prime Minister

National Higher Education Regulatory
Authority to work on monitoring all higher and professional education

Professional Standard Setting Body (PSSB) to set standards of education

9. Facilities for teachers: No transfers, salary hike, incentives, housing, preferrence of jobs in home town.

First time ever: Scholarships with guaranteed employment for teachers.
Safe infrastructure, toilets, clean drinking water, electricity, computers to be provided.

10. Quasi-judicial body to be constituted for this mission-mode clean up exercise through out country.

MHRD will no longer be Human Resource but

MINISTRY OF EDUCATION!!
