@RahulGandhi 1. Cost of bare bone aircraft was Rs 526 crores. A fully loaded one including Missiles, Avionics, Navigation, Performance Guarantee all add to costs.

2. Last of 126 Aircraft would have arrived only after 10 years from now.

3. Anil Ambani is not making any Rafale in India.
@RahulGandhi Contd...

1. Quote given to UPA by Dassault was not followed up by then Govt as it had no money. Once a quote is received a multi disciplinary services team is set up to negotiate rate of fully loaded aircraft. Rs 526 crores was for an aircraft without anything. Just the shell.
@RahulGandhi If the deal was so cheap why did UPA government not close the deal for more than 5 years. Why did then Defence Minister AK Antony admit in Parliament that UPA Govt was not going ahead as it had no money. Dassault also indicated that amount quoted had 15% appreciation every year.
@RahulGandhi Dassault clearly indicated in the quote that it was a private company dealing with Govt of India. When NDA Govt started negotiations for Rafale, it insisted that it would be a Govt to Govt deal. Modiji was well aware that UPA Defence deals were mired in corruption, due to agents.
@RahulGandhi The NDA Government did not go for a 126 deal, as it was aware the time it would take to quickly scale up our IAF squadrons which had depleted to just 28 squadrons. One squadron consists of 18 aircraft. China and Pakistan have been rapidly ramping up their Air Force.
@RahulGandhi I had spoken to a Brigadier who was a part of negotiating team about HAL not being an assembling partner. For one, HAL had indicated that they could not stick to delivery schedule and costs. Second, with just 36 aircraft, there was no point of going in for a technology transfer.
@RahulGandhi About Anil Ambani, we have been told by Rahul that his company is making the Rafale. Not a single Rafale is being made in India, and Anil Ambani's company is one of the 72 vendors. What Ambani's company is doing now is making parts for Falcon aircraft at the Nagpur facility.
@RahulGandhi Biggest outsourcing vendor is Rafale deal, which as per Make in India rule, is DRDO and HAL, two of the 72 vendors. Anil Ambani's company will make part of the radar and that is worth just Rs 300 crores. I wonder who feeds Rahul with this fake stuff, which exposes his ignorance.
