For all those who very reasonably say, Trump can't do X because it's illegal, I say...where have you been the past three and a half years. What would you have said to the idea that a US president could get elected with the help of a foreign enemy?
Could violate every ethics law on the books? Could fire whistleblowers with impunity? Could ignore Congressional subpoenas and oversight? Could sidestep national security regulations? Could break election laws?
I know you all mean well. I know every Trump threat does not become a reality. But let's temper our confidence with the fact that illegal is what Donald Trump does, has done his whole life. And now he is empowered by Barr & McConnell to do it at an unprecedented level.
