Re: last two RTs... one of the most frustrating elements of the left antisemitism “debate” for me has been precisely the phenomenon @bat020 refers to: people on both “sides” invoking their “lived experience” as if that makes their *political ideas* infallible or unquestionable.
The idea that “lived experience” is a sufficient basis for a totalising political analysis is actually inimical to the development of any mass emancipatory movement, which requires being able to reach beyond our own immediate experience for collective answers...
...as well as an underpinning in an analysis of how society is actually structured and where our power to change it lies, which ultimately has to be “objective”. Our “lived experience” can inform, but can’t complete, that.
