Some are wrongly conflating two equally irresponsible theories by Biden and Trump. rawstory.com/2020/07/flashb… It is somehow suggesting that Biden was right all along. He wasn't. He was suggesting that Trump could unilaterally stop the election or use the Postal Service to steal it.
...Trump is not claiming that he can unilaterally stop the election in this tweet. That does not make this any more acceptable but both candidates are fueling conspiracy theories with these remarks. The law is clear and the election is set.

Trump said this evening that he does not want a date change but objects that challenges could go on for months or years -- delaying the results. We actually have gone through such challenges in Bush v. Gore. However, there is no uncertainty as to the President after Jan. 20th...
...even though Gore appeared in the end to have won Florida, he did not claim the presidency retroactively. There is likely to be more problems and challenges with the greatly expanded use of mail in voting. That is a serious legal problem given the short period for resolution...
However, as we faced in prior years, we are locked into a constitutional calendar to resolve whatever challenges arise. It could be messy but that calendar will control with a hard stop on January 20th. Counting can continue as it did in 2000 but the outcome was set on that day.
