Note: Virginia Giuffre used to be known in court documents as Jane Doe 3.

Though an unsealed version hit SDNY for the first time tonight, @JoshGerstein informs me a similar (if not identical) version entered the court record in Florida in 2014.

It was later stricken.

But not before @JoshGerstein reported on it in a scoop from 2014.

One big difference that I can spot between the 2014 document and the one released today:

This one shows Virginia Giuffre accusing Alan Dershowitz of specifically negotiating Epstein's plea agreement to purportedly shield co-conspirators for self-interested reasons.
Notice any other changes between the two docs?

Given the context in the remainder of this thread, I deleted a tweet at the top of the thread suggesting this passage about Alan Dershowitz is "news."

It is from a newly unsealed document, but the claims and even language are similar to prior docs in different courts.

PSA:

Multiple documents in the #MaxwellFiles data dump tonight are either old documents or previously released, making the rounds as though new.

For example, Judge Preska ordered Virginia Roberts Giuffre's deposition should "remain unsealed" and it's in the release.
Virginia Giuffre's interview with her lawyers from 2011, however, has been unsealed for the first time.

The screenshots are flowing freely tonight, but the hard work of contextualizing and following up on leads will emerge with time from reporters closely eyeing the case.
To be clear, there are some real bombshells here, like the 2015 Epstein-Maxwell correspondence that undermine a claim that Maxwell already has made in court in her criminal case.

Asked about Epstein boasting "Bill Clinton owes me favors," Giuffe said:

"Yes. I do. It was a laugh though. He would laugh it off... I didn't know if he was serious. It was just a joke."
Later in that interview:
