LIVE Masjid An Nabawi #EidAlAdha Khutbah English Translation Thread
Khateeb: Sheikh Ahmad Hameed
Exalted is Allah. All praise is due to Allah. There is no true god except Allah. Allah is the greatest. There is no change or strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great.
These words are more beloved to Allah and more beloved to the Messenger of Allah (SAW).
It equates in reward the freeing of a slave (for the sake of Allah), giving the best horses for the sake of Allah, and sacrificing the best camels for the sake of Allah.
Allahu Akbar! (Allah is the greatest!)
It fills what is between the heaven and the earth (in reward).
It expiates a person's sins, even if they are as great as the foam of the sea. Due to it, the sins fall off of the servant of Allah the way the leaves fall off of a tree.
These words are the plants of Paradise, a savior, and a protection. They are the good deeds whose rewards will remain eternally.
Allahu Akbar! (Allah is the greatest!)
These words surround the Throne of the Most Merciful, buzzing like bees,
mentioning their Companion (who said them). Thus, that person will always have something mentioning him to his Lord. And your Lord was never forgetful.

There is no one better in the sight of Allah from a believer who lives a long life upon Islam, increasing in the remembrance of Allah.
Allahu Akbar! (Allah is the greatest!)
These words are a charity for the body.
Those who make the Talbiyah, quench their thirst on the Day of Tarwiyah, make duaa on the Day of Arafah, stand on Arafah glorifying their Lord, stand in Muzdalifa in submission to Allah, stone the Jamarat in the morning (of Eid),
perform the Tawaf of Hajj, sacrifice (their animals) while making takbeer, and stone the rest of the Jamarat after Dhuhr (on the Days of Tashreeq), are doing so while keeping their tongues moist with the remembrance of Allah.
Second Khutbah
O servants of Allah! Sacrifice your sacrificial animals. May Allah accept from you. There is no worship greater on the Day of Sacrifice than sacrificing an animal from the grazing livestock (i.e. a camel, a cow, a sheep or a goat), doing so for the sake of Allah,
the Lord of the worlds. You should eat from it, give some as a gift, and give some in charity. You should display this great religious ritual, the Sunnah of your forefather, Ibrahim, may Allah's praise and peace be upon him and our Prophet.
Know that one cannot sacrifice for the Udhiyah a sick animal which is clearly sick, a one-eyed animal which is clearly one-eyed, a limping animal which cannot walk with the rest of the healthy animals, an animal which has lost the majority of its ear or horns, an emaciated animal
which has no bone marrow, an animal which has completely lost its front teeth, an animal whose utters have become dry and hard due to old age, and an animal with scabs.
The minimum age for a camel is five years, a cow is two years, a goat is one year, and a sheep is six months. A camel is enough for seven [households], and the same applies for a cow.
The Sunnah is to stab the camel at the bottom of its neck while it is standing with its left
front leg tied, and to slaughter a cow, sheep, or goat as it lies down on its left side facing the Qiblah. One must say while slaughtering "Bismillah" (in the name of Allah), and it is recommended to add "Wallahu Akbar" (and Allah is the greatest).
The Sunnah is to eat one-third of it, give one-third in charity, and gift one-third.
One cannot sell its skin or any part of it. One cannot set any part of it as a wage for the butcher. Time for slaughtering starts after the Eid prayer ends, and continues for two days after Eid.
