I had a plan of X INR per month for Airtel BB connection, which got over in the lock down period,I kept on placing the request on their app/Email to upgrade it to unlimited plan, but no help. I then kept on buying the smart bytes. @airtelindia @Airtel_Presence @TRAI #bycottairtel
I did not pay the bill for that month, thinking that I will get some call from their end and then i will speak to them and upgrade the plan.

Yes,I got a call from someone reminding about the payment( See how these companies have set their priorites, calling only to recover dues)
The due amount was almost 3X of my original plan, But had they considered my plan change request to unlimited ,it should have been just 1.5X

The customer care understood the issue and commited the waiver in the bill and I promised them to pay on the same day.

But the amount never got revised in my-airtel app, then i kept on getting auto-call reminders to pay the bill.
but I did not pay since they neither meet their commitment to reduce the due amount nor they upgraded it to the unlimited plan.

One fine morning, My internet stopped working, what option did i have then, I felt like a loser and I paid the 3X amount.

I convinced myself that due to lock down they are short of staff, they might do the adjustment when Lockdown gets over.

But the cycle repeated for next two months and Today morning my broadband stopped again.

Wrote one tweet today morning, asked my friends to retweeet it and yes I got a call from Srishti D, and then she simply refused to adjust the amount in my current outstanding.

Its not about the money, If they want donation from me, I can pay 100 X of the outstanding due.
its about the way these telecom companies are treating their customers.

Update - Anubhav, From @airtelindia called me within one hour of this thread and resolved the issue to my satisfaction.

But 9 out of 10 customers, do not take this much pain to escalate, Do not let them down @Airtel_Presence
