Uncle reached out to Whitefield Rising, who he came to know via the recycling “Restore” in Vijaynagar.
First things first: Seek clarity on the problem.

Enquiries made, decent hearing aid w/ 40% off will cost between 27-46k. What to do? Fundraise?
That’s when a volunteer started looking at Govt Schemes for the differently abled, whether adult or child
And there is! There are scholarships, job reservations, transport allowance!

Differently abled have to apply on this site to procure a Unique Disability ID (UDID).
And then follow the process to avail the various schemes set aside for their benefits. Persist.

Back to I*. We followed the process. Last week, I* was able to get his hearing aid 🦻 through the government scheme!
Free of cost.
A huge relief to the family, and I* can now continue his schooling through to Class 10.
