Prof.Irfan Habib said it was a stolen evidence first, he said from a private collection, then he said from Lucknow museum.
Lucknow museum had its inscription, undecipherable remained intact, museum published the photo which was different from the inscription found from the site. Prof.Habib misled the public. He was proved by the Court to be wrong. He has not acknowledged it or apologized!

I can only wonder how none of them knew of scores of Rama temples in Thondai Mandalam, the Pattadakkal temple walls, the various iconographic evidence of Rama's popularity even in south India.
