GOOD NEWS - The court in the EAD case (Subramanyan) just issued a temporary restraining order. Just reading the order now. 1
This is my friend Rob Cohen's case. Here's my summary of the case from when it was filed two weeks ago. -

2
The court approved the TRO and denied the government's motion to dismiss. As a reminder, this is a case about what @crampell was reporting - USCIS stopping the production of work cards and green cards for people who have been approved. 3
@crampell USCIS terminated its contract with the printing company in order to take the work in house, but didn't actually have that capability yet. Massive incompetency here. 4
@crampell The government played its usual game of approving the benefit for Subramanya in hopes of mooting the claim. The judge didn't care because this is for a class, not just her. The judge provides a long discussion on mootness and it's not pretty for the government. 5
@crampell By the way, let this be a reminder to those afraid to sue. Ranjitha Subramanya now has an EAD before everyone else. The plaintiffs in the Gomez visa ban case (version 1 did too). Don't be afraid to sue the govt because of retaliation. 6
